Alcohol Safety Resources
Drink Responsibly
If you do plan to drink, we encourage you to drink responsibly. Understand how alcohol affects your blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) on an individual level can help you stay safe, for both yourself and others.
Recognizing the Symptoms of Alcohol Poisoning
Drinking too much and too quickly can lead to significant impairments in motor coordination, decision-making, impulse control, and other functions, increasing the risk of harm. Recognizing when someone may be experiencing signs of alcohol poisoning and acting upon it quickly can be a potential life-saver.
Getting Home Safely
If you or someone you know has had too much to drink, please don’t drive and seek an alternative way to get home safely. Here are a few options that you can use. Thank you!
Prevent Underage Drinking
The Rhode Island Social Host Law states that providing or purchasing alcohol for youth or young adults under the age of 21 is not only a major health risk, it’s illegal. The possession or consumption of alcohol by individuals under age 21 on your property is prohibited as well.
