Strategic Prevention Partnerships is a nonprofit organization based in Newport County, Rhode Island, dedicated to enhancing community health and well-being through proactive measures, education, support, and partnerships. Comprised of two integral branches, the Newport County Prevention Coalition focuses on substance use prevention, mental health advocacy, and holistic well-being across all age groups, while No Wrong Door spearheads an inter-agency effort aimed at providing accessible, evidence-based mental health and substance use care to individuals and families in Newport County.

Our Featured Programs
Mental Health First Aid Trainings help participants to develop and apply interpersonal skills and action-steps that provide initial help and support to adults who may be developing a mental health or substance use challenge or experiencing a mental health crisis.
The Safe Homes initiative engages parents to take concrete actions to protect their children from underage drinking. Parents can significantly decrease the likelihood of underage drinking among their children and their children’s friends by doing four actions in their home.
Laundry Love helps low or no-income families and individuals afford the cost of washing clothing & bedding by partnering with local laundromats to help relieve some of the financial burden facing families.
The Totally Preventable Podcast was created to provide awareness, prevention education, resources, and support within our community for behavioral health and social causes that maybe you didn’t know existed!
We are committed to helping reduce opioid-related overdose deaths by offering FREE trainings on the signs of an overdose, administering Naloxone and the Good Samaritan Law to any business, community group, faith-based establishments, or community organizations.
