Bringing together organizations and community members across Newport County to strengthen our behavioral health system of care. The Council works collaboratively to share resources, identify gaps, and improve access to services for individuals and families in Newport County. Community Council meets the first Friday of each month from 1:30-3:00pm.
During Orientation at , the wellness block (led by Health Promotion and Prevention alongside orientation leaders) introduces new students to campus health resources, self-care strategies, and peer networks. Sessions feature guidance on physical and mental well-being, community standards, and campus support systems. Strategic Prevention Partnerships will be taking part in this event as well.
The Portsmouth Prevention Coalition convenes on the second Wednesday of every month to discuss ongoing prevention efforts and initiatives throughout the Portsmouth community. Each member contributes a unique perspective, united by a shared commitment to improving the health and well-being of Portsmouth residents.

Voices of Affirmation is a gender affirming voice training program for transgender and non-binary Rhode Islanders. It is hosted online via Discord. It is 6 sessions long and occurs biweekly with one exception due to a holiday.
